Meet Our Celebrity Judges
Craig Schulz
Celebrity Judge Craig Schulz was the chief pilot for Charles Schulz’ Woodstock Aviation. He now oversees the Peanuts business, and is one of the screen writers and producers of the 2015 Peanuts movie. He is now writing and executive producing Peanuts short films for Apple TV plus that are premiering this year.
Karen Kresege
In a world of professional ice shows, Karen Kresge‘s reputation for excellence is unmatched. A skating superstar in her own right as a headliner, starting alongside Peggy Fleming with Ice Follies for a decade, she successfully translated her training and talent into the roles of choreographer, director and producer of spectacular ice shows.
Billy Ray Chubbs
Billy Ray has been working as a professional actor / model / motion capture performer since 1999.
From age 13 to 18 Billy Ray was a competitive figure skater in the 1980s. He transitioned from figure skating to playing hockey in local leagues, which then lead him to becoming interested in other combat sports. In 1998, Billy Ray switched from hockey to kickboxing and began training in Brazilian Jiujitsu. Today, he still trains, coaches and actively competes as a second degree black belt. He has won multiple titles with several different organizations and is a commentator for two different Northern California MMA organizations.
For 18 years, Billy Ray has worked with Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic, wearing the motion capture suit to play characters such as the Hulk in the Avengers movies, Megatron in all of the Transformer films, Shredder in the Ninja Turtles movie. Thanos in the Final Endgame, Kong in the recent Kong movies, he fights Godzilla Storm Troopers Orcs in the Warcraft movie, and a few characters in the Fortnite franchise.
“I am so honored to be a part of the celebrity panel of judges. Although I hardly think of myself as a celebrity, but rather, more as a person who’s done a whole lot of really fun stuff.”
Eric Harryman (Host)
After more than a decade of chasing TV news all over the country, it’s home sweet home! I’m a Northern California kid, born and raised in Santa Rosa; so covering what’s happening in the Sacramento area is as close to ‘home’ as possible.
I’m lucky to say I have the opportunity to do that working alongside Nikki Laurenzo, Kristina Werner and Jim Crandell each weekday on FOX40 News at 5, 6 and 10pm.
Working in live TV is one of those careers that requires passion to do it right. I’d like to think I’m a pretty easy going guy, but when big news happens, that sort of goes out the window and that’s what I love most about what I do. Our job is to figure out what’s important and most impactful to the most people and report it in a responsible way; it’s a challenge every day and I’m so grateful for the opportunity.

Working in TV all over the country (California, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Virginia, Florida) has left me with a unique view of the world I’ve experienced, but no matter where you live one thing stays the same: Everyone has a story, let them tell it.
In 2002 I had the opportunity to work for International Sports Broadcasting at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. What an adventure! People from all over the world, telling their stories and participating in an event they had worked their entire life to be a part of; overwhelming to say the least.
I suppose we all have things we’d like to forget happened (right?). How about this one? I’m new to the state and city and I’m doing a live TV interview with the mayor. Not only do I call him the name of the mayor from my previous TV market, but I got so flustered on the air I couldn’t remember his name at all. Really? Seriously? A sad moment for me, for sure.
Let’s move on, it’s making my palms sweat just thinking about it. Proud moments are part of the game too, one of mine is winning a team Emmy for Best Newscast because let’s face it … trophies are cool.
Beyond the cameras, trophies and big interviews is the rest of life.
Nothing I do professionally will equal what I have in my family. My wife Lisa and I live life through the eyes of our 3 kids: a little girl and identical twin boys. The daily journey with them has taught me more about who I am and who I want to be, than anything else I have ever experienced.
I’m a fanatic about health. The gym, long runs and healthy eating are a way of life for us. I’ve also got a pretty strong case of OCD and sometimes I think I drive myself crazy, but that’s another story for another day … for now, I’ve got plenty of YOUR stories to tell. Shoot me an email if you’ve got a story we can tell together, eric.harryman@fox40.com.
